Banque BCP S.A.

The origin of Banque BCP S.A. in Luxembourg dates back to 1967, the year of foundation of the Banque Troillet. In 1983 Banque Portugaise du Luxembourg was created under the legal form of a limited company and it takes the name of Banque BCP in April 2001.

It manages to gradually assert itself in an increasingly competitive Luxembourg banking and financial market, the Grand Duchy is a country of 500,000 inhabitants and has 143 banks located on its territory (as of 30.11.2011). Banque BCP represents a real economic bridge with Portugal and a support mechanism to local development initiatives for 81,300 Portugese people (data from 2011) living in Luxembourg.

Banque BCP S.A. now has 71 employees and a network of 5 branches throughout the country, in the capital city Luxembourg, in Esch-sur-Alzette as well as Ettelbruck and Differdange.

In July 2006, after a long-term partnership agreement concluded with Millennium bcp, the Caisse d’Epargne Group became the majority shareholder of Banque BCP in Luxembourg with 80.1%. Since July 2009, Banque BCP has belonged to the BPCE Group, founded following the merger of the Caisses d’Epargne and Banques Populaires Groups.

It offers a wide range of products and services which are increasingly more diversified and segmented, ranging from traditional deposits (banks books, investments from two to seven years) and loans (real estate, personal and company) to the sale of credit cards, bank insurance and cross-selling accentuated with the BPCE Group and Millennium bcp.
